Showing Love To Our Communication Volunteers
July 22, 2020 | Pastor Ted
Greetings Church Body,
Four months ago, as the global pandemic unfolded, our church faced a challenge unlike any we’ve faced before: for the first time in our church’s history, we were required to close our doors to our community indefinitely.
Our top priority immediately became providing an alternative way to worship together, grow as Christians, and stay connected with each other and our community. Several volunteers worked tirelessly to make this happen seemingly overnight; an all new worship service live stream, constant social media engagement, virtual Grow Groups, and more.
The work didn’t stop after week one; week in and week out, these volunteers gave and continue to give hours and hours of time (sometimes daily) towards making our live-streams better, engaging our community online more deeply, and providing ways for our church body to grow in Christ more effectively. And more than just time, our church communication heroes have developed a unique set of skills that they have generously applied to the church.
God used these efforts to allow our church to not only survive, but thrive throughout quarantine. Our vibrant online presence on social media and Facebook Live has reached not just our own members, but thousands of people both locally and across the country with the message of Christ.
On behalf of myself and the Personnel Team, I am asking that our church body, and everyone who has benefited from our new online presence, show our appreciation for these volunteers who have gone far above and beyond anything that was asked of them through a Love Offering.
You can provide a generous gift for these great folks who have helped see us through a very difficult time by giving online or by check. If giving online, just choose “Love Offering” as your option or write “Love Offering” on your check. We will receive this offering throughout the summer and disperse it among these dedicated volunteers.
God bless you and thanks for your gift.
